Finding this yellow summer dress days before a summer getaway was a sign. A sign that I had to have it. Before I tell you all about this amazing dress, here are a few tidbits from my five days in La Jolla!

I went down to La Jolla with my family for a quick trip and we had the best time. Usually, I bring Stanley along because La Jolla and San Diego are such dog-friendly cities, but this time it was just the humans so I was able to try out a few different restaurants. Some of my favorite spots were Parakeet Cafe, Haramaru, and Eddie Vs. Most of my week in La Jolla was spent in June Gloom. I had no idea this was a real thing, but it totally is. We lucked out and got one sunny day at the farmers market and afternoon at the pool. Be sure if you are visiting to pack a sweater because nighttime gets chilly along the waterfront.

Now on to this dress! I found this gorgeous button down dress at Target of all places. The best part about this yellow summer dress? It doesn’t wrinkle!

You may remember from my last dress post that finding clothing that doesn’t wrinkle when I travel is a high priority which is why this find was so great.

The buttons on the dress don’t leave gaping which is a big plus, because I find so often that a dress almost fits just right if it wasn’t for the buttons.  

I paired this dress with an old pair of sandals but I think these would look amazing with it.

You will definitely find me wearing this dress on repeat as it gets warmer and warmer this summer.
