Did anyone else blink and April was here? March wasn’t quick by any means because Utah was experiencing an endless winter (and still is). For whatever reason, the weather had me in such a funk and I did not want to read much. I mainly caught up on podcasts, binged Grace & Frankie, and started watching Daisy Jones & The Six. It was a big TV month and it definitely shows in my reading list.
Everything I Read in March 2023
Drunk On Love: This book was a real treat! Jasmine Guillory is truly the queen of modern-day romance and this book did not disappoint. It is set on a beautiful vineyard and you will feel just like you are in Napa enjoying wine tastings and falling in love. Highly recommend this for a fun and light summer read.
Big Swiss: This literary fiction novel was basically the exact opposite of Drunk On Love. I have never read anything quite like this book and my first impression is that I wanted to continue reading because it’s engrossing even though it might not be enjoyable. By that I mean prepare for your stomach to turn and for you to wrestle with trauma in unique ways as the characters do. I won’t give too much away but this book follows a transcriber who works for a local sex therapist who falls in love with one of the patients.
My April reading is already off to a little bit of a better start. I have been loving The Writing Retreat and have been really enjoying the audiobook Fairyland. Up next I am reading Stone Cold Fox and listening to The Kingdom of Prep.
