In light of recent events, I have seen a lot of negativity online and in my own community. I have seen fear of discrimination from a nation they live in and fear that friendships are dissolving because of differing political views.

I want to offer you a reminder that you can bring positivity into the world while standing up for what you believe in. You are responsible for speaking up for what you believe in and to be respectful and educated in the way you do it. I am proud to be a woman and to have the opportunity to accomplish anything. Because of that, I’ll express myself not through negativity but by lifting others up. I encourage you to do the same.
