Las Vegas is only an hour plane ride away from Salt Lake City, so it’s the perfect quick weekend getaway. I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about Las Vegas, but I swear I have perfected how to spend a weekend in Vegas. (especially if you aren’t looking to go clubbing and gambling every night)

Check out my travel guide if you are looking for a less than typical trip to Sin City.

Attractions:

Neon Museum: This is by far one of the coolest places in Vegas, but be prepared if you go in the summer it is HOT. The tour only lasts about 30 minutes, but there is zero shade and a whole lot of sun. You can also opt to go in the nighttime and see all the signs lit up.

Seven Magic Mountains: I haven’t been here yet, but it has been on my list for awhile. If you are haven’t seen this place yet then check out this post.

Drybar: nothing is better than a relaxing hair wash and fabulous curls. Drybar is where my curling iron is from and my all time favorite product Triple Sec. It’s basically the only thing I use.

Food: Las Vegas has some amazing dining options, but these are a few of my tried and true favorites.

Shows:

O: All I can say is that this show will literally leave you speechless. Tickets are notoriously expensive for this particular show, but it is completely worth it.

The Beatles LOVE: If you are looking for a fun show that you can dance along too, and see stunning acrobatics I highly recommend this one.

Hotels:

The Mandarin Oriental: This is where I stayed over Labor Day weekend and it was so relaxing. The hotel is much like a spa with calming music and art installations throughout. I took more than 4 baths in 3 days because that’s just how amazing the bathtubs are. Unlike a lot of other hotels, the Mandarin Oriental has fewer families and partiers.

Mandalay Bay: This hotel is great if you are looking for a fun pool that is family friendly. They have a wave pool, several smaller pools, and multiple dining options. This hotel also has an aquarium inside!

Vdara: A great option if you need a pet-friendly smoke-free hotel. I have stayed here once and the rooms, much like the Mandarin Oriental are luxurious and the service is amazing.

Instead of doing what I thought I was supposed to be doing, I got intentional. I started asking “what if” all the time and I stopped putting so much pressure on myself to do things at the perfect time or the right way. Instead I took a little leap here and another there to create a life I love.
