I ate this meal all week. Hashbrowns, toast, fried egg, topped with BBQ sauce.

This past week I got a package in the mail from my mom. I don’t know about you, but mail makes me extremely excited. At home I used to check the mailbox everyday and if I knew a package was coming, I checked two times. My friends at the dorms found this a little strange, but I’m just enthusiastic about getting mail (even if it’s boring).

In my package was a sweater, a note, foot scrub, and the book I had been reading before I left, but couldn’t fit in my bag called Where’d You Go, Bernadette  by Maria Semple. It is amazing. It took me way too long to finish this book because of my traveling, but I finally sat down and finished it in two days. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a fun summer read, or if it’s raining and you want to curl up next to the heater like me.

This novel kept me turning the page and I didn’t want to put it down, which is saying something. I found the writing style to be appealing for me because the narrative gave different perspectives. And, there is a twist in the middle you will never see coming. The other great thing about this book is that it is adding to my lengthy list of places I want to visit, Antarctica.
