Clearer and Healthier Skin (oh ya now I take my makeup off)

I have never been the girl who took off her makeup before bed or made sure to moisturize every day. I know, I know I will regret it when I get older. That’s why I took the opportunity to try out the Clarisonic Mia Device. I challenged myself to set aside five minutes in the morning and 5 minutes at night to take care of my skin AND it was life-changing.

Clearer and Healthier Skin in 10 minutes

I didn’t realize what I was missing before this, seriously. I have always had pretty good skin that took basically no maintenance, but setting aside time for this routine every day for the month of October made it even easier to get ready in the morning (no foundation) and made me feel just a little more put together.

Clearer and Healthier Skin Just 10 minutes a day

Let me break this routine down for you!

Morning:

Splash some water on my face (nothing will wake you up like cold water in the morning)

Use the Mia 1 Device with Radiance Brush Head

I used the Pore & Blemish Gel Cleanser

Then Towel off and apply your moisturizer

-I use this Origins Moisturizer and it has been my favorite for the past 3 years. It smells amazing!

Nighttime:

Remove all make-up! I use this and it doesn’t leave me feeling oily.

Shower and give a good rinse

Then I just repeat!

Use the Mia 1 Device with Radiance Brush Head

I used the Pore & Blemish Gel Cleanser

Then Towel off and apply your moisturizer

I think more than anything this has gotten me into a better morning and night time routine. I have now become the girl who always takes off her makeup (seriously I did not wake up with leftover mascara once) and I am this much closer to being a morning person.

I did have a few people reach out with questions about the Clarisonic so here is what I have found out!

Is this going to be really rough on my skin?

Absolutely not! Make sure you use the right brush for your needs, but I didn’t find this process to be harsh at all. That’s why I am able to use it twice a day.

How does it work?

The brush head moves back and forth to flush out the pores with water and cleanser. It removes dirt, oil, and extra buildup to leave your skin feeling refreshed.

How do I clean my brush and how long should I keep it?

Clarisonic recommends replacing the brush head every 3 months as the bristles become fatigued and less effective over time. Once a week, remove the brush head from the handle and rinse with warm soapy water to remove any residue.

Instead of doing what I thought I was supposed to be doing, I got intentional. I started asking “what if” all the time and I stopped putting so much pressure on myself to do things at the perfect time or the right way. Instead I took a little leap here and another there to create a life I love.
