What I Read in November

I have to start this book roundup by telling you all how many books I still have left in my TBR pile. I really try to finish all the books on my bookshelf by the end of each year, but that is just not happening this year. I think I still have 10-15 left! I need to know … does this happen to anyone else? You can check out past reading lists here.

November was a fun reading month because I started reading holiday-themed books!

What I Read In November

Leave the World Behind: I did not know what I was getting myself into with this book. It definitely was a page-turner and extremely well written but the ending left me a little “meh”. There was no real resolution and the book really wasn’t about anything.

In a Holidaze: I have been describing this book to everyone I share it with as a warm hug. This is just the best feel-good book and you will not want it to end. If you only read one holiday book, make it this one!

Winter Street: this book was great. It had all the classic holiday must-haves including an Inn, a tragedy, an engagement, and new love. It definitely fell into the cheesy category but it was a fun read.

Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You: A Remix of the National Book Award-Winning Stamped from the Beginning: if you only read one more book before the end of the year make it this one. I listened to the audiobook and it was really powerful. I know a lot of people in this community said that they wanted anti-racism book recommendations and this is at the top of my list.

Listing out my full to be read pile below. Let me know if there are any on here that I need to move to the top of my reading list!

Instead of doing what I thought I was supposed to be doing, I got intentional. I started asking “what if” all the time and I stopped putting so much pressure on myself to do things at the perfect time or the right way. Instead I took a little leap here and another there to create a life I love.
