I spent my Valentine’s Day or rather week really picking out the people and things in my life that I love. I took a week and wrote cards, hung out with friends, reached out to old friends that I hadn’t talked to in a while, and pinpointed some of my favorite items and activities. As much as I love receiving Hallmark greeting cards and heart shaped chocolates there is nothing better than making your own valentine and writing a cute note.
For every day last week I tried to put on my brightest pinks and reds, including my nails!
Valentine’s Day is definitely a day to treat yourself and you can be sure that I did that, with good food and close friends!
To kick off Valentine’s Day I invited close friends to enjoy a pancake bar at my apartment. I used flattened cinnamon rolls as batter and then had a variety of toppings.
On Valentine’s Night it was a girls night out, including killer tacos from Taqueria 27 and watching How to be Single (aka my new favorite chick flick).
Valentine’s Day is a great reminder to tell people you are glad they are in your life, and a perfect time to show yourself some love too!
