After yesterday’s post about my favorite places to eat in Chicago, I couldn’t wait any longer to tell you about the most amazing boutique I stumbled upon while I was there. If you only go to one store (which is not what I recommend), make sure you go to The Art Effect. This boutique is located on Armitage Ave which has some of the yummiest coffee shops and best stores for unique finds. I spent a few hours exploring here before heading to Bucktown and would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

The Art Effect is an eclectic shop, filled with everything from beautiful stationery to cute kitchen utensils. One of the best parts about this shop is that it is not only stationary and kitschy gifts, but half the store is dedicated to clothing. It’s boutique heaven because usually you only get one or the other.

I know after looking through all these photos you are probably bummed if you don’t live in Chicago, but don’t be! They also have a great online shop. I have definitely been spending some time on there picking out Christmas gifts for friends and family. Check out the gifts section for inspiration. Here are a few of my favorite finds on their site.
