I feel like I have been on vacation for an entire month, but really I have only been gone for a few days. Don’t you love those trips where you are able to fit everything in? On my trip to La Jolla, I managed to fit in all my favorite spots and a few extras as well. If you haven’t already checked out my list of dog-friendly restaurants from when I went here in the spring, be sure to check it out.

The great thing about this long weekend trip is that it gave me a good break from work, and motivation to get home and get going on some new projects! Since my schedule has been a little all over the place this week I thought I would post my favorite iPhone snapshots from my trip. Normally my camera roll is filled with pictures of Stanley, almost exclusively, but on this trip, I was able to get photos of more than just him.

I realized when I was packing for this trip that my closet has become almost all blue and white stripes, and I am definitely not mad about it.

The little neighborhoods in the cove are so picturesque, I could definitely see myself spending an extended period of time here.

Waking up to the sounds of the ocean and the seals could be my favorite part of La Jolla. They are so silly, I could literally sit there all day watching the seals and sipping on my cup of coffee.

Speaking of coffee, Parakeet Cafe is my new favorite spot in La Jolla. If you find yourself craving avocado toast and the best coffee you will ever sip on then this place is for you. It doesn’t hurt that they have the cutest wallpaper and little nooks to hang out in. I didn’t work a lot while on this trip, but this coffee shop would be perfect for early morning writing.

I hadn’t been to San Diego since I was 10 years old. It was fun to venture into the city for a morning and see what else this area has to offer. I checked out the Gaslamp District and had the most amazing brunch at Cafe21. They also had a small arts market happening on the main street.

The Cafe21 shrimp corncakes. I get hungry just thinking about this fun spin on your classic eggs benedict. Don’t forget to get a bloody mary or mimosa while you are here.

I had been wanting to try this rose cider since I saw it come out, but Utah doesn’t sell it! I have to say it could easily be my new favorite beverage. If you stumble across this brand be sure to purchase!

Even though my camera roll had a few more photos than just the endless dog photos, there were of course still a few. I absolutely love being able to travel with Stanley, especially to a city that is so dog-friendly.

Alright, alright that’s all the photo overload for now! I would love to know what you guys do with photos that you never post. Do they just sit on your iPhone waiting for a good #tbt or do you delete them?

Instead of doing what I thought I was supposed to be doing, I got intentional. I started asking “what if” all the time and I stopped putting so much pressure on myself to do things at the perfect time or the right way. Instead I took a little leap here and another there to create a life I love.
